Natural England

The Strategic Direction 2006-2009 [520 kb], published in June 2006, is the strategy document that shaped Natural England’s creation. It continues to guide our operation by setting the foundation for our Corporate Plan. It underpins all our policy and delivery activities explaining why we are working towards the four outcomes, who we will work with and what we will do.

The Strategic Direction says ‘...we will also work to further develop our strategic directions to deliver a secure environmental future and pursue new opportunities, leading to a fuller expression of Natural England’s vision and direction in our second year.’ We are currently consulting with stakeholders and our staff to refresh our strategic direction.
