‘Natural London – through the lens’, an eclectic collection of London photography, is the result of a competition run by Natural England and sponsored by Nikon, which invited Londoners to submit beautiful, interesting or unusual images of nature in our capital city. The photographs, along the themes of Rivers & Streams, Trees & Woodlands and Hidden Gems, are beautiful and reveal the importance of nature to people, even in the most urban of settings.
Alison Barnes, Natural England’s London Director said “We had a fantastic response to the competition with well over a thousand entries. The photographs display how lucky we are to have such a rich variety of natural landscapes within the capital.”
Camley Street Natural Park is run and managed by London Wildlife Trust. Sandwiched between St Pancras International and the Regent’s Canal, it’s a tiny slice of wilderness in the middle of King’s Cross. It’s a great place for photography – see the exhibition, get some tips, then go out and take some pictures of your own.
