What we do not cover
The Wildlife Management & Licensing Service is responsible for providing a wide range of help, advice and licensing but we do not offer certain services.
We do not:
Provide advice and licences outside of England:

Carry out the practical work required under any licence, this is the responsibility of licensees and any staff or consultants that they employ. In some cases NGO's such as the Badger Trust or Bat Conservation Trust may be able to assist.
Provide a 'pest control' service - please contact your Local Environmental Health Department or individual contractors through telephone directories/ Yellow pages.

Issue game licences - these are no longer required in England and Wales since 1 August 2007 see Changes to game licencing for taking or selling game and venison for further information
Issue zoo licences - these are dealt with by your local authority. For more information see the Defra website.
Identify species from specimens or photographs - please contact your local Natural History Museum
Deal with disease in trees, shrubs and plants - for incidence of disease in recently imported plant please contact Defra Plant Health.
Assist with reports of poisonous invertebrates (scorpions, spiders etc) - please contact your local Environmental Health Department.
