Civilscape
Civilscape is a network that brings together non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in the area of landscape to support the principles and objectives of the European Landscape Convention (ELC). Civilscape was launched in February 2008 in Florence with 26 founding members, and continues to expand.
Civilscape works to raise the awareness of landscape, to encourage the exchange of experience among its members, to influence authorities at all levels of government, and to stimulate crossborder and transnational landscape management projects. With strong focus on a bottom up approach,Civilscape is able to contribute effectively alongside its two partner networks, for local and regional authorities (ENELC) and universities (Uniscape), to promote the implementation of ELC objectives.
