A joint project between the Environment Agency and Natural England, funded by Defra and the Rural Development Programme for England, working in priority catchments within England.

Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) delivers practical solutions and targeted support to enable farmers and land managers to take voluntary action to reduce diffuse water pollution from agriculture to protect water bodies and the environment.
A network of Catchment Sensitive Farming Officers are on hand to help farmers tackle the causes of harmful water pollution.

The Capital Grant Scheme is available in 2012/13 in the existing 50 priority catchments plus several new catchments and is targeted at holdings within specific areas of these catchments.
Free advice and capital grants are also available to farmers through local partners in 9 catchment partnerships. Advice events, information and tools on farm practices are provided through 4 national partnerships. See Partnerships for more details.
For examples of how we can and have helped farmers, please see our case studies and video guidance.
