What are the threats to geology?
Although geological sites may appear relatively robust, in some cases they can be easily damaged or destroyed by inappropriate development or activities.
The main threats to geological sites fit into four categories:
- Inappropriate development
- Natural degradation
- Irresponsible specimen collecting
- Irresponsible recreational activities
