Lydden Temple Ewell consists mainly of old chalk grassland on the more inaccessible slopes with improved grassland on the clay cap and gentler slopes.

Main habitat: Lowland grassland

Management: Although most NNRs are managed by Natural England, some are wholly or partly managed by other bodies approved by Council, under Section 35 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Lydden Temple Ewell NNR is owned and managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust.
