The Swale National Nature Reserve is a grazing marsh that supports significant populations of waterfowl.

Where: Isle of Sheppey, Kent

Main habitat: Grazing marsh, coastal

Management: Although most NNRs are managed by Natural England, some are wholly or partly managed by other bodies approved by Council, under Section 35 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The Swale NNR is owned and managed by ECT (Conservation) Ltd. They also manage Elmley NNR.
