Studland and Godlingston Heath NNR

Forming the southern arm of the entrance to Poole Harbour, Studland and Godlingston Heath NNR has one of the largest tracts of lowland heathland in the UK. It has a large freshwater lake and a sand dune system.

Main habitat: Lowland heath

Management: Although most NNRs are managed by Natural England, some are wholly or partly managed by other bodies approved under Section 35 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

Studland and Godlingston Heath NNR is managed by the National Trust.
