Volunteers working on Stodmarsh NNR
OR..... if you prefer something a little more practical we are currently running a volunteer taskforce at Stodmarsh NNR every other Monday from 10am to 3.30/4pm and Wye NNR every other Tuesday from 10am to 3.30/4pm . Participants can take part in a wide variety of tasks from reed cutting, scrub clearance, pathway maintenance and survey work and anyone is welcome to come and join in.
We would like to say a big thank you to all our volunteers. Since the project started we have had over 4000 hours of volunteer time which has been of tremendous benefit to the reserves. If you want to be part of a fantastic volunteer team please contact us to find out more.
If you are a local business and want to take part in a volunteering day at one of the reserves then please get in touch. We have run some successful corporate volunteer days with a range of activities from removing scrub to installing new sections of boardwalk. The days allow people to escape from their desks, enjoy their natural environment and put something back to the community by helping us conserve and enhance these fantastic wildlife sites.
