The first of this Summer’s ‘Wild Wednesday’ events for children and their families and specially designed to tie in with the Olympics. How many different kinds of living things can you find in a day in Lathkill Dale? Will it be enough to win a Bronze, a Silver or even a Gold medal?
Special requirements: The event base will be by the main track in an easily accessible part of the dale. If you plan to go further afield on the reserve, please bring suitable clothing and footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead or under close control.
Time: 11am – 4pm
Meeting point: Over Haddon end of Dale. Park at the car park at Over Haddon (charge) and follow the lane down the side of this to the reserve gate. Go through this and follow the track for about a quarter of a mile. The event base will be clearly visible by the track just below Mandale Mine
