Nature Discovery Trail
Aston Rowant NNR has a self guided nature trail which changes seasonally.
Aston Rowant NNR nature trail
The 2.5km trail is marked by leaf shaped wooden boards and begins at the entrance to the site on the south side of the reserve, opposite Cowleaze Wood Car Park.
The trail includes lots of information about the wildlife and landscape around the reserve and there are Children’s Challenges at every stopping point. It can be followed by simply reading the boards, no need for a map!
This walk is a great adventure for adults and children alike; watch red kites soar and kestrels hover as you look for evidence of mice and voles left on this year’s hazel nuts.
