Dunsdon Farm NNR

The NNR contains a very important example of a type of pasture known as Culm grassland a marshy, heathy vegetation that occurs over the slates and shales of the Culm Measures across north western Devon.

Although most NNRs are managed by Natural England, 88 are wholly or partly managed by other bodies approved by Council, under Section 35 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. 

Dunsdon Farm NNR is owned and managed by the Devon Wildlife Trust.

This type of grassland is rich in wildflowers and supports a wide range of other wildlife.

Location and access

The NNR is located between Hollsworthy and Kilkhampton, close to Tamar lakes.

Facilities

The reserve has a large carpark. There is a disabled access boardwalk to a viewing platform.
