Representations and objections

The period for making formal representations and objections about the report closed at 5pm on Monday 11 February 2013.
The representations and objections that were received will now be considered carefully by the Secretary of State before he makes a decision about our report.

Objections have been forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate, for consideration by an independent planning inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. The Inspector will then make recommendations to the Secretary of State in respect of each one.

Natural England may not make any further changes to our report as a result of the representations and objections, but we will make comments about them for consideration by the Secretary of State and (with respect to objections) the planning inspector.

The Secretary of State is expected to make a decision on the report in Spring 2013. Once there is an approved set of proposals, the new route will be prepared for public use. When these preparations are complete, new access rights will come into force along the route and adjoining spreading room.
