A large number of pieces of legislation affect wildlife management and licensing in England. This page only provides an overview of the main legislation and where to obtain copies. Please note that summaries of the legislation can oversimplify issues and lead to misinterpretation. Guidance in relation to specific issues can be obtained on our species pages. UK legislation
