The Annual Report of the 2009-10 Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment survey is now available on-line (in PDF form), following its publication this week.
This national survey - undertaken by TNS Research International on behalf of Natural England, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Forestry Commission - provides baseline and trend data on how people use the natural environment in England. Fieldwork took place between March 2009 and February 2010.
Published alongside this report are:
Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment Technical Report – which provides full details of the survey methodology including approaches to sampling, grossing and weighting, estimates of confidence intervals and the full questionnaire;
Summary data tables – which provide cross tabulations of all survey questions against standard socio-economic variables.
All three reports are currently available on Natural England’s Publications Catalogue at: http://publications.naturalengland.org.uk/category/216216#content![]()
A series of further outputs are planned from MENE 2009-10 and will be available from the Natural England website in the coming months.
The information within the report and the summary data tables are categorised as official statistics, and their production and publication accords with the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
